In PRC they will impose a new regulation that resembles of NSL which affects over a million foreign teachers, many of those are English language teachers, which allows the schools to sack the teachers without any real reason and circumstance the worker protection laws and signed agreements.
The circumstances for dismissing a teacher include: words and deeds that damage China’s national sovereignty, security, honour, or public interests; be held criminally responsible; obstructing the implementation of the education policy, other serious crimes and violations of China’s public moral and teachers’ professional ethics and codes of conduct, engaging in illegal religious education or preaching illegally and engaging in cult activities.
Much of these “offences” are quite subjective and broad and the teacher will not have a higher instance to complain too if the school is terminating them without reason, this only means that foreign teachers in PRC will live under constant fear of loosing the job and the right to stay in PRC controlled territories of China.
