Fake applications becoming more common.

For each day that goes, yet another fake application (Site Specific Browser based applications) appears for your phone or computer and more and more people uses those without understanding why things works so poorly when there are minor network issues or low bandwidth, for you are using a chromium web browser with a plug-in in some cases.

So what’s so bad with chromium based applications you may ask, the simple answer is that you have a browser that may be badly outdated and vulnerable, that your communication is in danger as each application has it’s own independent version of the browser, without the possibility to update the browser part itself. Also you are receiving a lot more data, as you now have to fetch the whole web page instead of just the data, this also has a negative effect on your usage of the app in low bandwidth situations like when out hiking or network issues or New Years eve. Some of them even don’t work in offline mode at all, can be really strange when you just want to convert a measurement from one unit to another.

Sure the company making the so called application can cut costs as they will just have one product, their website and low cost javascript kids writing the code or in worst case 3 grade Indain programmers (there is 2 million new of them every year).

Make if more simple for you, stop installing chromium browsers, bookmark the site in your current browser and save loads of space on your disk.
