How likely is it that Russia asked China for help

From the US came news that the Russians asked for help with military equipment from China, the Chinese reaction was that it was fake news.

We know from other happenings, when China goes out and claim something is fake news, it means they have done it, otherwise they will just deny that they were involved.

So from this we know that Russia did actually ask for military equipment from China, the big question is if they did get any, the initial sign shows they haven’t got what they needed as we seen many Russian vehicles break down and poor precision in the initial attacks on military installations.
